for my continuous quality improvement class: Executive Summary The purpose of the executive summary is to present a concise and compelling description of your improvement project up to the time of submission as it is expected that your work will not be complete within the bounds of a semester term. Imagine your audience to be a small group of your peers (perhaps even ones in your network or the network you hope to be part of in the future). This audience is interested in what you have learned, where you have adjusted based on the data you have collected, and where you are headed next. the summary should include: Problem and Aim Present relevant background information on your context. Clearly state the problem of practice you have chosen to address and include the evidence you collected to validate the problem and the root causes you identified. Articulate the aim of your project. Description of Initiative Provide narrative that describes the primary drivers and change ideas you selected for your initiative, including relevant research that informed your decisions. Describe any major changes/adjustments you made throughout the process and incorporate your progress monitoring data (PDSA cycle, formative measures, etc.) for each. Findings Include analysis of your measurement data to evaluate your improvement work. Use tables and figures when appropriate. Recommendations Describe recommended next steps based upon your results
