Larry regularly hosts knowledge transfer sessions on statistical models, data architecture and the SASMO application and Unstructured data usages within and outside of his organization. To date he has taught over 50 Boeing team members. Larry has made well over 100 presentations to the users, BITEC, and other team members (over 120 people in total) to educate them on the algorithms found in the SASMO application. Interestingly, there is a video made back in 2007 that highlights Larry as the expert in Knowledge about MIDOT application.

Larry presented the benefits of using AI to convert airline reliability data into structured data and load it into the company database for upper management, including Vice President and Chief Information Officer Lucia Chung, Director of Product Support Prem Chacko, several senior managers, the Innovation Exchange Artificial Intelligence group, the Innovation Exchange DevSecOps and Automation group, and the BCA Customer Ops and Technical Data/Publications group. As a result of this presentation, BCA is planning to implement the AI process for loading SPEC2000 airline data into the company database (CARMAS database).

Larry mentored three people on the SAS to R project: Jason, Pham; Vijay, Naraimhan,; and Abhijeeta,Baliyarsingh. All three were hired with no prior SAS knowledge. Larry provided direct coaching and mentoring to them on the subject of proprietary SAS program code and our existing codebase. Now, all three analysts have achieved their goal of acquiring SAS knowledge and can productively contribute to the SAS to R conversion project.

Over the past three years, Larry has mentored Abhijeeta, assisting him in navigating various career paths within Boeing. This mentorship has allowed Abhijeeta to home in on his enthusiasm for Data Science, which has significantly advanced his professional trajectory. He has successfully achieved the objective of gaining expertise in SAS, enabling him to make meaningful contributions through statistical and data analysis to the Maintenance Optimization System (MOS) project. As a result, Abhijeeta is not only developing his skills but also positioning himself for future opportunities and growth within his field.

Similarly, Larry has mentored Jason Pham since he joined Boeing as a contractor three years ago. Through career guidance and skill development, Jason has advanced his data science capabilities and recently transitioned to a full-time Boeing employee.

Additionally, Larry mentored Lisa Sunish for over three years, providing training in SAS programming, data analysis, and professional development opportunities such as SAS conferences and analytics training. Lisa served as an ARMS Program Manager before her recent retirement.

Larry transferred knowledge of Airline data application usage, researched the source of the data, statistical algorithms, and provided series of workshops for 12 team members both onsite Boeing and offsite BITEC, as the result of this workshop, team members were able to understand the whole cycle of the project and started contributing the project. He also mentored and transferred extensive SAS code and ETL IBM Data Stage product knowledge and system architecture to team members for both onsite Boeing and offsite BITEC team personnel.

Worked closely together with the SASMO/MOS lead architect (ATF member and Senior Architect "David Howick") and transferred knowledge of the Data, Data architecture, source data and source systems, the system architecture for the existing systems, and statistical algorithms. which allowed Dave to create the architecture and design of MOS, achieving an IT goal of reducing four applications into one bringing about reduced operating expenses, reduced number of applications that require IT administration, oversight, and compliance, and reduced hardware consumption
