Question: Air is introduced into a piston-cylinder device through a 7 cm-diameter flexible duct. The velocity and specific volume at the inlet at a given instant

Air is introduced into a piston-cylinder device through a 7 cm-diameter flexible duct. The velocity and specific volume at the inlet at a given instant are measured as 22 m/s and 0.1722 m3/kg respectively. At the same time air jets out through a 1 mmdia meter leak with a density of 1.742 kg/m3, the piston rises with a velocity of 10 cm/s, and the mass of the air in the device increases at a rate of 0.415 kg/s. Determine
(a) The mass flow rate (m) of air at the inlet.
(b) The jet velocity.
(c) If the jet pressure is 100 kPa, use the IG flow state daemon to determine the temperature of the jet at the exit.
