An increasing number of consumers prefer to use debit cards in place of cash or credit cards. To analyze the relationship between the amounts of purchases made with debit and credit cards, 240 people were interviewed and asked to report the amount of money spent on purchases using debit cards and the amount spent using credit cards during the last month.
