Create several new company documents: an acceptable use policy, a technical support process, and job descriptions for your department needs.
You may need to research a little to understand the kind of information typically included in these documents, but remember to write your policies all in your own words. Once these new documents are completed, all of your work for this company must then be organized for the CIO to review your progress.
Instructions:
1: Acceptable Use Policy
The equipment provided is company owned. You will need to create an "Acceptable Use Policy for Computing Hardware and Software." Keep data security in mind when creating this policy.
2: Technical Support Process
Your department will be providing technical support for all virtual employees from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Create a process for virtual employees to use to get technical support from your department. Consider providing some self-help diagnosing suggestions.
3: Job Descriptions
Finally, based on the tasks your department must perform, create at least two job descriptions so your CIO understands your needs. Provide this, in one document or individually, as you wish. Include job title, description of work, and qualifications (both required and preferred).
