Starting an entry level position with a firm it is hard to see how my personal values and actions can make a difference in the workplace However as I work up the career ladder my values and actions can affect others in the workplace and the overall ethical tone at the top I can speak out and voice my values when I perceive wrongdoing I can make a difference if I know how to do so My values and actions can be highly affected both for good and bad by the workplace if my values and moral reasoning are not firmly established For example the Enron and WorldCom scandals were carried out by people who let their values be suppressed to do fraudulent acts by a workplace that demanded those acts the Betty Vinson story If I let others with values that are inconsistent with my own beliefs dictate what happens to me in the workplace I forfeit the right to act on my personal moral philosophy and be true to my values and act ...
