I have three years experience on teaching chemistry. I have taught higher secondary level and undergrad students. And I always prefer one to one interaction.
While teaching I always try to focus on the basics of the topic as learning the basic concepts build a students' interest and strength on the topics. After basic concepts are learned then I focus on solving various problems as that will strengthen the skills of the student.
But does teaching mean spending all the study time focusing on text books? Never. I always try to bring some real life phenomena to explain basic concepts as that will keep the student interested and help in realizing the concepts.
