One question asked the participants to rate general fitness on a 5-point Likert scale from 1 (no opinion) to 5 (very desirable). They reported that women (M = 2.79) rated general fitness as a significantly more desirable trait as compared to men (M = 2.47), t(136) = −2.45, p < .05.
