For users making video calls on Skype, the rate of dropped calls has historically been no more than 3% (. 03). In a random sample of 200 calls using Skype’s recently updated version, 11 calls were dropped. Your job is to set up a hypothesis test in which you will use this sample result to test the hypotheses H0: π < .03 (The drop rate for the new version is .03 or less). Ha: π > .03 (The drop rate for the new version is greater than .03).
a. Compute the pvalue for the sample result and explain what it means.
b. Use the pvalue from part a to decide whether you will reject the null hypothesis. Explain your decision.
