Renco Manufacturing has had a problem with unauthorized access to its accounts receivable database. The chief accountant suspects that one of the systems administrators is somehow making changes to the accounts receivable data-base in an unauthorized manner. The accountant, however, is uncertain about the methods being used. It is possible that a systems administrator has made changes to the accounting program. Another possibility is that the operator is accessing the accounting program without proper authorization.
