Repeat the regression using SF instead of SM, and then again, including both SM and SF as regressors. There is a saying that if you educate a male, you educate an individual, while if you educate a female, you educate a nation. The premise is that the education of a future mother has a beneficial knock-on effect on the educational attainment of her children. Do your regression results support this view?
