A woman was hired as a dental assistant at age 20 and worked for the same dentist

Question:

A woman was hired as a dental assistant at age 20 and worked for the same dentist for over ten years. The dentist said on a number of occasions that she was the best dental assistant he ever had. Over time, the dentist began to complain that the woman’s clothing was too tight and revealing and that he found it “distracting.” In the year before her employment ended, the woman and the dentist began to text each other and to discuss non-work matters in those texts, including their children. The dentist’s wife, who also worked at the office, became aware of the texts and demanded that he fire the assistant because “she was a big threat to our marriage.” After acceding to his wife’s demands and terminating the assistant’s employment, the dentist met with her husband. The dentist reiterated to him that she had performed her job well and “had not done anything wrong or inappropriate.” However, h felt tat he was becoming too personally attached to her and he feared that he might “try to have an affair with her down the road if he did not t fire her.” The former dental assistant sued for sex discrimination. What should the court decide? Why?
