In earlier chapters, we showed how computers can help improve the learning process. In this chapter, you studied a variety of sorting algorithms. Each has the same goal—to produce a sorted array—but each algorithm operates differently. It’s helpful to use graphics, animation and sound to make each algorithm “come alive.” Search the popular video sites online for “sorting algorithm visualization” and write a description of how you’d go about implementing your own. In Chapter 22, JavaFX Graphics and Multimedia, and Chapter 23, Concurrency, you’ll learn the techniques that will enable you to implement your own multimedia sorting application.
