Associates Discount Corporation sought court enforcement of a note it held. The note stated that Fitzwater owed a large sum of money for a tractor that had been delivered to him. Fitzwater, the signer and obligor on the note, wanted to testify to the effect that the tractor was never delivered. May he do so? (Associates Discount Corporation of Iowa v.
