Haas, a trusted employee of a firm by the name of Trail Leasing, Inc., used her access to her employer’s blank checks to defraud Trail Leasing of almost $40,000. She did this by making checks payable to the firm’s bank, Drovers First American. She then had the checks signed by an authorized officer of the firm when she obtained cash for them.
