Michael carves and fashions furniture out of cherry wood. One day while walking on what he thought was a part of his forested acreage south of the city, he saw and then cut down a beautiful cherry tree. Later, his neighbor had a survey done of their communal property line and discovered that the cherry tree, which Michael had since fashioned into a magnificent cherry cabinet and sold for $10,000, actually was on his land. She sued Michael. Will the neighbor recover the value of the felled tree (approximately $750) or the value of the cherry cabinet?
