Speigle fell behind in his car payments to Chrysler Credit Corporation. He had made 14 monthly payments on a 36-month contract, and Chrysler had accepted several late payments. Then Speigle found himself out of both work and money. He was almost a month in default on a current payment. Speigle went to the Chrysler office to negotiate a solution to his problem. While there, a Chrysler employee parked a car behind Speigle’s car, blocking it so it could not be moved. Another employee told him it was repossessed.
