As a policy matter, should any changes be made to the IDEA to include students with chronic illness or infectious diseases who currently would not receive protection under the IDEA but would under Section 504 or the ADA? (Remember from the discussion above that students with chronic illness or infectious disease may be covered under the IDEA, but only if they meet the requirements of the “other health impaired” category and require special education services.)
