1. Calculate the allocation ratios to be used under the sequential method for the human resources and maintenance departments. Carry your calculations out to four digits. (The human resource department will have three allocation ratios—

one each for maintenance, cutting, and polishing. The maintenance department will have two allocation ratios—one for each producing department.)

2. Allocate the support-department costs to the producing departments using the sequential method.
