To bring cost-effective products to your door, retailers like Walmart use suppliers,  some of which may contract work out to other suppliers and so on. And while the initial  suppliers that Walmart contracts with may be socially responsible, not all suppliers are. What  should retailers do to protect themselves from working with unethical companies or selling  products made by such companies? How far down the supply chain should retailers be  responsible for the business practices of their vendors?
