Buy a few copies of a Lego product, such as a Lego Racer (8119), and form a team of at least two.

a. Disassemble the car and familiarize yourself with the pieces.

b. Assemble the car according to the instruction sheet (in the box) a few times until you learn how to do it from memory.

c. Assign tasks to individual members, and make an assembly line.

d. Run the assembly line until all cars of your group are assembled, while timing the total time.

e. Discuss various ways of reducing your time without causing quality problems.

f. Disassemble all cars.

g. Implement your improvement, run the line again, and time it.

h. Summarize what you learned from this exercise.
