(a) If you have 1 quart of water in one container and 1 quart of water in another container and you pour all the water from both into a larger container, what volume of water do you end up with?

(b) Suppose you have a 1-quart container filled with marbles and a large pail containing 1 quart of water. When you dump the marbles into the pail, is the final volume the same as in part \(a\) ? Why or why not?

(c) Compare the inertias in each case before and after mixing.
