Question:
A ball is being twirled in a circle at the end of a string. The string provides the centripetal force needed to keep the ball moving in the circle at constant speed. Does the force exerted by the string on the ball do work on the ball in this situation? Explain.
Step by Step Answer:
A centripetal force is required for a body to move in circular path The net force that produces a ce...View the full answer

Centripetal force is the component of force acting on an object in curvilinear motion which is directed towards the axis of rotation or center of curvature. For this experiment : Take a rectangular or square shaped thin sheet. Take a screwdriver or something to make four holes in each corner of the rectangular shape sheet. Now take four equal sized ropes and connect to each hole. Now tie the other ends of the rope by leveling the board to ground like this and tape it.. We will test the Centripetal force phenomena with different objects like Iphone 6, 12 and 11.
