Question:
Read the Textbook: Using MIS 2017.
At the end of the textbook is the section “The International Dimension” of MIS. Outsourcing to an international market is common. Adopting an around-the-globe development or support strategy requires integration with multiple data centers or multiple suppliers of services. If your strategy involves cloud computing, the servers could be anywhere in the world. An example is the outsourcing of service desks to another country for call center support.
You must first develop a contract and working relationship with the company. Will they be speaking your language when answering the phone? Will the data be stored in your language? Can reports be generated from the data in multiple languages? All these considerations must be taken into account before pulling the trigger to take calls.
