Recruit, select, and help train a new Financial Aid Liaison for GPRC. The starting point for your project is the Position Description for this job which is linked in Module 2 on the BA 2240 – HR Management Moodle site (i.e. Handout – Example of a Position Description).
Read over the Position Description for the Financial Aid Liaison and become familiar with the job duties and job specifications. Once you’ve done that, attempt the following questions:

Suggest 5 different Recruitment Methods you would use to solicit applications for this position
B1 – Selection – Interview Questions
Identify any five skills or abilities that the Financial Aid Liaison will have to possess to do the job. Compose one Interview Question for each skill/ability (i.e. a total of 5 different questions, one for each skill/ability you identified) that will allow the interview to accurately gauge if the candidate possesses this skill or ability
B2 – Selection
Testing Identify a skill or ability that the Financial Aid Liaison will have to possess to do the job. Suggest an Employment Test that might be administered to measure the presence or absence of this skill/ability.
Scenario
After a very successful recruiting and selection process, you have selected Ms. Anita Bath as the successful candidate for the Financial Aid Liaison position. Ms. Bath is a 20 year old, recent diploma grad from GPRC in the Office Administration program. During her studies at GPRC, she lived in Student Housing for two years. This will be her first “professional” full time job; she worked as a part-time server at local restaurant when she was going through school.
C – Orientation
Describe the Orientation process you’d suggest for Ms. Bath and her new job. Make sure you suggest activities for both introduction to the College and introduction to her Department. Also note, Orientation activities do not necessarily need to be confined to the first week of the job (i.e. consider the concept of Onboarding mentioned in your textbook and in the Module notes.) Justify each of your recommendations.
D – Training
Identify two different skills/abilities/processes she’ll need Training for. Suggest the best way to undertake this training.
Scenario
A year has passed since Ms. Bath has been hired. Her annual performance appraisal was excellent. She is doing the job very well and aspires to move up in the organization. Ultimately, in the next five years, she would like to have her supervisor’s job: Financial Aid Coordinator
E – Development
Identify two Developmental skills or abilities that Ms. Bath should work on to help her work towards her long term career goals. Suggest one Developmental Activity for each skill/ability (i.e. a total of 2 different Developmental Activities, one for each skill/ability you identified)
