The past shifts in the climate have created the freezing periods in time that we called the Ice Age. If we continue on this destructive path we will end an entire era by creating disastrous climate change that will probably end most life on earth, just as it did 55 million years ago. The effect of greenhouse gases on the climate is a very significant one and one that we should take very seriously. The only advantage we have to the past is that we have more ice than 55 million years ago and can still probably savage the situation.
