It includes emotional management, social skills, empathy, self-awareness and personal motivation.
In logic, we have to analyze all factors and evidence of a certain point or situation but it is through the heart that we are able to express it to other people and either get their support or turn them away. Evidence works best when it is suited to the audience and their experience.
When persuading someone, emotions provide a spring board for a successful execution of an argument. Emotion is a power we harness and use in persuasion. Logic is important but emotion helps catapult an otherwise dull or boring exchange to the next level. In persuasion, it is important to control the negative emotions while constructing positive emotions since it is important to ensure that a message does not end with negative feelings. It is always important to pay attention to surrounding circumstances of a presentation when using emotions in persuasions.
