Write a self-assessment and development paper. You will use the theories, assessments, concepts, and frameworks of the course to comprehensively assess your negotiating style and assess your perceived effectiveness as a negotiator. (Strengths, weaknesses) and future development goals, Again, you will integrate the course readings. This is an academic reflection and analysis versus just a personal journal of generalizations. You might address but not limited to the following: Do I enjoy negotiating? Do I enjoy being in situations of conflict? Do I enjoy the competitive nature of negotiations and to persuade others or problem-solve and collaborate mutual outcomes? How do I assess myself as a negotiator? Do I perceive myself as one who gives in too easily, or holds out too long? Do I know when to make concessions and what kinds? How effective am I at persuading others? How effective are my verbal skils to articulate my position and make my points? How well do I actively listen to others I disagree with? Where do I feel most competent in negotiations? Least competent? How do I respond when I hold power in a situation? How do I respond when I have little or no power in a situation? What is my development plan to improve my knowledge, and skills in negotiating?
