You will research theory-based health promotion interventions. The interventions should relate to a health issue that is influenced by an individual behavior. You will create an annotated bibliography of the articles you find related to your topic.

1. You should annotate at least four peer-reviewed, research articles.

2. You may choose the health issue you wish to research (i.e., diabetes, physical activity, smoking cessation, HIV/AIDS prevention). Focus on issues that have a component of individual behavior. Issues like poverty or community violence will be more difficult to use for this assignment.

3. The research for each article must include a theoretical base. As you search you may need to search on multiple search terms. For example, if you are focusing on diabetes, search on “diabetes” and “health belief model” or “diabetes and “theory of planned behavior”.
