The power of a study is the probability that the study will detect a result of a given size, assuming that result actually exists. It is an important factor in study design -- you need to make sure your sample size and analysis will result in adequate power. (A threshold of 80% is commonly used.) In this lab, you will examine the power of a hypothetical study. You will work with data on the abundance of a particular type of immune cell called a CD8 T-cell in mice.
