As the Manager of Human Resources for a regional facility of 150 employees, you have been asked by the VP of Human Resources of the company's regional division to pilot a long-range strategic initiative at your location. The objective of the initiative is to purposefully develop a workplace culture that embraces positive employer/employee relations, employee engagement, communications, collaboration, teamwork, inclusion, and wellness. In order to kick off the initiative, you and your leadership team have committed time and budgeted resources for an Employee Appreciation Kickoff Week. Your assignment is to formulate a Five-Day Plan for the week.

Your Five-Day Plan will consist of a half-written page for each of the five days. The criteria for each day of the Five-Day Plan will include: (1) a purpose statement, (2) an agenda, (3) a paragraph that summarizes specific activities and the rationale for each activity, (4) estimated costs, and (5) the expected outcomes. The daily agenda will encompass 2 hours of the designated time for managers, supervisors, and employees to participate, for a total of 10 hours of dedicated time for the week. The activities you schedule can be implemented face-to-face, virtually, or a combination of the two, and should creatively reflect the objective of the initiative.
