I work at a energy company, and i am on a project do to a literature review on a cooling technology and a simulation on it the technology is called as Radiative cooling:: I am tasked to use energy plus software for this simulation
:: PS: rc means Radiative cooling and RCF means : Radiant Cooling film
Q I am planning to simulate building models of same characteristics in energy plus openstudio but one with normal hvac, and one with RCF and then compare reduction in cooling load and then explain how we can use such RCF Systems to assist normal hvac to reduce overall cooling energy load of buildingsince we know RC can't completly replace normal hvac for a building or can it Yes or no Is it a good idea?
Q For this simulation i wanted to know some baseline reference values like: for example. For one zone floor building modelpic belowor any model sizedimension you have done or know of what is the average Traditional HVAC energycooling load Just one roomBased on ur experience or any literature? I just need approximate And for example if I add a RCF Radiant Cooling film of any cooling power capacity you can choose based on averageexperience or literatureto this building model which has traditional hvac what how much cooling load would decrease? I.e how much would that RCF help In terms of energy saving cooling load refuction of that building model??it would help reduce the cooling load right? YES OR NO
I just want a reference study values like this so I know what ballpark my simulation values reaults should be in to be correct Its okay to apply average values found online as well
Q Do I have to for this simulation also
Simulate heat transfers in the software?
NOTE : IF you want you can assume the dimensions of the RCF which is to be placed on building model to be: m x m x mlengthtimes widthxheight
Example: structure Of the building Model
