While it was natural to use an if$-$else statement for this exercise, it was not actually necessary. You could have chained together multiple if statements, just like you did in the first exercise. However, the two cases were mutually exclusive; an e$-$mail is either one type or the other, but not both.

Why do you think it is preferable to use an if$-$else statement in this case?
