1. Choose a topic for your project. Your ADOBE Creative Cloud Express page B MUST, through text and images, address any challenges related to free speech or a free press. I highly recommend you select a very specific topic for example.... - investigate the situation one journalist has faced in covering news, explain why most of those who attack journalists get away with even murder, detail why an attack against a journalist in a war zone can be considered a war crime, document how (and why) journalists are often targets of hate, . etc. ete. 2. What you need to include in your Adobe essay: Your Adobe Creative Cloud Express page should include strong description, thoughtful analysis (all grammar & spell-checked!) and great photos to illustrate your main points. (We will not be thrilled if all your photos are generic "stock" photos). You will also need to include a formal bibliography at the bottom of the page, with citations for all your information and all your photos and/or graphics. (Zotero!) (If you include your own photos, they should be noted as being yours.) Please also follow the rest of the instructions below and note, of course, the strictures of COVID as you complete this and all projects. o Make sure the point of your Adobe page is clear: Are you trying to explain a problem, outline a solution, give the details of a specific event, use a person to illuminate a larger issue? What needs to be explained in words? What background and/or context is needed? o o What photos should you use to grab people's attention; what photos should you use to explain your issue or event or story? o Don't overlook the necessity for good design. o Make sure that the photos you use (WHICH YOU MUST CREDIT!) are "large" images, so when they appear in your page, they are crisp. In other words, don't upload a photo at thumbnail size and assume it will look good at a larger full-screen size. Students should use (and cite) at least 5 different sources in their Adobe Spark Page bibliography o You are expected to go through multiple drafts of your Spark Page. It can take a while to figure out the "right" way to layout the photos and write the text for the story you want to tell. 3.
