1. Click The "Play" Button And Look At The Wave Propagating Through The Rope. Describe How The Particles In The Rope (The Red Or... Start the "Wave on a String" simulation (opens in a new window) and famillarize yourself with it. This simulation allows you to send pulses/waves through a rope and study how the speed of the pulse/wave changes with frequency, amplitude and tension in the rope. When done playing around, make sure you have everything reset. The click the "Pause" button, and select "Oscillate" and "No end". Using the slider, set the Damping" to None, and the "Tension" to medium (in the middle). Your settings should be as shown in the image below
