Business Case "Delicious" application will be a platform where traditional home made food that is fresh and nutritious would be available to everyone who misses a piece of their home and those who love to cook and share, would finally have a platform to grow their business and make revenue out of this amazing special talent of theirs. Based on our personal experiences as international students and having to constantly hustle between work and university and finishing up work, there have been number of times when we have missed home cooked food as eating out of restaurants for a prolonged period of time causes boredom and there is not always affordable nutritious food options that are likely to our taste. And for those who are living in shared spaces, access to the kitchen everyday to prepare meals might not be the most comfortable or a convenient choice. Our team has immediately considered this as an opportunity to build an application that would serve as a platform to those who would be willing to sell home made food and those who are willing to buy it and pick it up or get it delivered to the comfort of their house. This food service application stands out from the rest because of it empowering a cook in an ordinary household to make revenue out of this platform as opposed to restaurants providing their services on other commercial food delivery platforms. Project Objective The "Delicious" application allows customers to enjoy Authentic home cooking and sellers to display their home-made dishes on the platform. The platform will support ios and Android mobile systems to access the dishes. It will provide three registration modes, customer, food seller and driver. Customers can search the meals through the app by flavors, seller location, price, etc. Customers can also take orders through the app and finish the payments. Sellers can display their sample images daily and it supports appointments. Drivers can pick up the current orders to deliver the food to customers who are unable to pick up. A small service fee will be charged from each order. It will be used for platform development and maintenance. It also supports the food sellers to display ads by bidding. The project start date is 10/20/2022 and the application will be available for use after xx/xx/2023
