1. Design a study. You work for a UX company who is creating a new project management tool. The designers/developers have created three different prototype designs for set-up wizard to initiate a project. The wizards all allow users identify project type, budgeted hours, schedule required roles, project risk, etc. The designers/developers want to understand which design works best and they are asking you as a user researcher to tell them. Create an experimental design to examine which wizard is the best design. (3 points) a. What is your null and a research hypothesis? (.25)

b. Describe a study protocol that you could use to explore this problem, i.e. which wizard will work the best. (Choose at least two factors that you will use to operationally define what is best) (.50point) c. How many people are you going to recruit? Is your study design within or between subjects (or mixed)? (.25point) d. Be sure to include (2 points) (a) independent (grouping) variable (b) the dependent variables (c) what type of measures the variables in your study are (e.g., ordinal, interval) (d) how you will evaluate your results statistically (i.e. name(s) the test(s) you would use). I am looking inferential stats not descriptive stats. (NOTE: you are welcome to suggest a test that I did not include in this stats homework as long as it is appropriate).
