SAHS is losing approximately $75,000 per month operating these clinics, primarily because a significant portion of the patient population can only afford services at reduced fees.Furthermore, as local economic conditions continue to decline, with unemployment and housing instability on the rise, the demand for low-cost healthcare services has increased (KFF,2021).
