Case #1. Socorro is a contracted consultant as a brand and web designer. She has been hired by a client for over six years, as their main designer. Through initial discussions, she and her client came to a verbal agreement that her work would include branding, all image design work, photography, website designs and content. She has provided them with incredible work, and just-in-time solutions to their panicked problems. She has been a loyal and hard-working supplier to the company. Recently, due to a huge growth in the business, the company decided to hire an additional contractor to handle other design projects that Socorro couldnt provide in a timely matter. Because of this new contractor, Socorros shared workload with the company was actually cut in half. To supplement her income, she was forced to seek other clients, reducing her availability for her long-term client. Some of the new staff at the company have asked her to solve issues that were caused by the other supplier, and Socorro has obliged, since she has been with the company for so long. Case #2 Dorian and Abdul own a training center for new Canadian immigrants. They teach the skills needed to find employment. They offer lectures, case studies, life skills and relevant assignments that will help their clients create a career path, resume, cover letter, application forms, etc. The fees for this training program are relatively high, but to make the program reasonably prices, much of the fees are Government funded.
