1. Each student must select one article from Bloomberg Businessweek or Wall Street Journal or New York Times or The Economist which has been written in the past 1 year. The article must be easy to understand and focus on the demand or supply of a good or a service (do not use money supply or investments). When selecting your article consider how you will demonstrate a shift of demand or supply (or a double shift) with this example. The Albright Library has a digital subscription to all of the these publications and they can be found using the Journal Locator. 5 2. Write a discussion board (300-500 words) that summarizes the main points in the article. Describe the event in the market in terms of a change in demand or a change in supply (or a double shift). Be sure to be specific as to which curve shifts and in which direction. Then explain what we would expect to see happen to the price and the output level in the market. If the article tells you the change, mention it here. 3. Digitally create a diagram that goes with your summary. Be sure to use labels. Add your picture to your post. You can also draw by hand, take a picture of the diagram and upload. 4. Your summary must contain a supply and demand diagram and it must mention the shift of the supply and/or demand and the change in equilibrium predicted. 5. Finish your posting with an APA format citation to the article you use. 6. Must be submitted as a MS Word document only. Your peers can click on that document and read it. MS Word is required so that | can insert comments when I'm grading. 7.Be sure to come back to the discussion board to learn more about economic events. Comments and replies are welcome but they are not required for this discussion board
