Add Inventory Function: Performed by an Inventory Clerk

System Requirement (INPUT):

A clerk must enter tag information into the system.

1. Add tag inventory: tag id and status of the tag are set; date tag was added to the system is set to the current date
2. Update tag inventory: status of the tag and date tag status was changed are set

System Requirement (OUTPUT):

The system must produce a report showing the tag information.

Inventory Report:

Report Name/Title: Tag List

1. Job role that uses the report: Inventory Manager
2. Information on the report: tag id, tag status, date tag added
3. Display sequence of information: sorted in a meaningful way

Information maintained in the system:

1. Tag: tag id; date tag was added to the system; status of the tag* (available)

* Note: The client has informed you that the tags status is set to available then the tag is added to the system. Other tag status values are indicated below. These other tag values do not have to be included in your system at this time.

Assigned when a tag is assigned to a customer

Lost when a tag has been lost

Damaged when a tag has been damaged

System data requirements

a. System must include at least 10 tags.

Deliverables posted to Blackboard:

Prototype System

1. Inventory Clerk must be able to add tags to the system.
2. Inventory Manager must be able to view Tag List report.

Window (Input)

1. Screen shot or pdf of the Inventory Clerks tag data input window.

Report (Output)

1. Screen shot or pdf of Inventory Managers Tag List report.

User Instructions typed into the Blackboard assignment message area:

1. A numbered list of the steps the Inventory Clerk must follow to add tag inventory to the system. The User Instructions must include the names of the forms or windows to click on and the actions the user must take.
