To design and calculate all the different parameters of a microwave link between two sites. Planning considerations and the link budget should be analyzed to ensure the installation of two microwave towers with its corresponding antennas, connectors, and cabling at two sites is correct. The link analysis should include calculations for the required tower height, feed cable loss, and free-space path loss. PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS This plan cover two microwave transmitter sites operating full duplex over a distance of 14 miles. The path between the two sites is free from obstructions and the terrain is reasonably flat. Each tower has a transverter near the antenna to reduce cable loss at the higher operating frequency. The transverter up converts the feed line frequency from the transmitter of 700 MHz to 11 GHz. On the receiver end, the transverter down converts the incoming frequency from 11 GHz to 700 MHz.
