1) Group Design Assignment

Purpose:

This assignment is highly complex but designed to enhance your knowledge, abilities, and skills in researching, planning, and executing five (5) sequential group counseling sessions. The sessions will be tailored to a specific homogeneous group, with students acting as the group leaders.

I. Title Page:

Start with a title page. You may include the due date on this page. Note that autobiographical information is not required, as it is only necessary for manuscripts submitted for publication.

II. Rationale:

Write a rationale for your group design. Provide evidence that your chosen topic and activities are research-based. Your rationale must include at least six (6) sources.

III. Members:

Your task is to create detailed descriptions of five fictional individuals who are members of a homogeneous counseling group. This group should share significant characteristics or traits, which could include age, profession, cultural background, hobbies, or any other unifying element. The goal is to depict these characters in a way that highlights their similarities while also giving each one a unique personality.

IV. Five Sequential Stimulating Activities:

Develop this section as if you were planning a class or workshop. Begin with the title centered at the top of the page. Using side headings in accordance to. include the following sections: Goals, Objectives, and Stimulation Activity. Goals and Objectives may start with the word "To." Each stimulating activity must be clearly described and logically follow the previous one. Ensure that each activity has its own heading. If you use a source for any activity, cite it in within the manuscript and list it on the reference page.
