Developing a WBS for the $5$k race event could have minimized some of the problems that occurred at the first meeting and could also have helped Brandon put together and plan the event project better, such as separating the event responsibilities into topics and parts, so that would ensured that all tasks and expectations were provided and discussed in an organized manner.

With a WBS$,$ the first meeting could have offered a clear communication structure, in which everyone could have a vision of the project and all parties discussing a systematic approach, making the project planning and execution carried out in an organized way.
