Kiosks provide many advantages such as, inquiry and payment of electricity and water bills, payment of traffic contraventions/violations, appointment with the LMRA, payment of loans in selected banks, registration for social events, payment of telephone charges, and payment of business registration fees. For the inquiry of electricity and water bill balance, customers need to enter their account number so, when they provide their national id number, their bill amount will be displayed. However, to pay electricity and water bills, customers enter their id# then their bills through the touch screen are displayed and they enter the payment into the kiosk slot in Bahraini Dinars and print a receipt in cash into the cash slot of the machine. For the traffic violations, customers enter their vehicle registration number along with their national number. The violations will appear on the display along with the amount to be paid of fines. They can pay them through the machine by in a valid Visa Card. An appointment with the LMRA is made via selecting the option from the screen menu and writing the reason for visit and identifying suitable time to do the visit.
