1) Perform a heuristic evaluation on a product or web site of your choosing. It should be non-trivial, but not too complicated either. If you choose something very complicated, like Microsoft Word, just evaluate one aspect of it, such as the style editing panel for Microsoft Word. Write your evaluation as a short (2-3 page) report on the issues found. This paper should use words related to the categories of the heuristic evaluation.

2) Write a ticket for a real problem in a product or web site you use. You can use an issue you discovered in the heuristic evaluation or you can use a problem you have discovered in your day-to-day life. Just make up a format your ticket, but include at least the following categories in your ticket: Title, Product, Version, Reporter, Date, Description, Reproduction, Severity
