$1.$ Using public sources $($NASDAQ$,$ NYSE, Yahoo Finance, etc.$),$ pull in price and dividend data into Excel from $12/31/2018$ to $6/30/2024$ for NVIDIA and MSFT into Excel and use the data to calculate the following:

a$.$ Calculate the holding period return for NVIDIA from $6/30/2023$ to $6/28/2024.$

b$.$ Calculate the annual returns as well as the $3$ and $5-$year returns $($arithmetic and geometric means$)$ for MSFT$.$ For annual returns, please use the final trading day in December as the beginning and end of period value.

Note: Use formulas whenever possible. This includes formulas you construct as well as premade formulas e$.$g$.,$ STDEV and VLOOKUP. Responses with hard coded numbers e$.$g$.,$ no formulas will not be counted.
