You are working at crowded public education event when an elderly citizen approaches you with two friends and wants to talk about an upcoming vote by the city council to require automatic fire sprinkler systems be installed in all new residential construction. The citizen is upset that automatic fire sprinkler systems might be required and says that the systems cost too much, there isn't enough water to supply all of the residential automatic fire sprinkler systems, the systems cause water damage both from the operating and from leaks, and will negatively impact the resale value of homes. The citizen further states that there aren't that many fires anyway and firefighters are paid to fight fires - its a dangerous job, and besides firefighters sleep all night while getting paid, and the city foots the bill for all the food firefighters eat.
