10.1.5 RESEARCH AND STATISTICAL METHODS

You are required to submit a research proposal that would be used for your dissertation. This implies that the research proposal will be based on the study that you wish to conduct for your dissertation in Year 2 Semester 2.

Prior to submitting a proposal, you are required to submit a brief topic motivation in semester 1 with the following details to researchadmin1@regent.ac.za: In order to complete the topic submission, please access the topic motivation template, writing guideline and support material (i.e. webinars, video) as well as the Research Proposal Writing Guideline via the Research Department administrator. Kindly note that this will be assessed by the research committee and feedback will be provided prior to moving to the proposal stage. Hence, there may be instances where you will be required to adjust and resubmit. Please note that the topic motivation does not constitute a weighting towards the assessment of the module but will need to be completed and approved by the Research Committee to enable you to move on to the next step (i.e., research proposal).
