16. Generic IoT Project (1-2 students) Pick an IoT device that is available for class or one that you already have and investigate security and privacy issues of the device. You should address the following in this project How does the IoT device work? Does it support access control? Does it require login and password? Read the documentation for the device to understand how the device works. Find out the operating system running on the device. Read any blogs, news reported on security and privacy of the device. Is the IoT device accessible from outside the network? is it possible to initiate connec- tions from the Internet to the device? . Does the device work with the cloud? Is the data sent from the device to the cloud encrypted? What kind of attacks can be launched on the device? Is it possible to launch Denial-of- Service attacks? Take a look at different versions of firmware on manufacturer's site and find out how they differ
